Dear Friends,
Welcome! The 2009-2010 year of the Bedford Women’s Club is shaping up to be another action packed year. Our membership numbers remain strong. Our commitment to the community is steadfast. And, our programs, activities and interest groups are growing. All this is possible as a result of the commitment of the Executive Board, committee chairs and interest group leaders. But of course, each of them would not be successful without the devotion of the many members who gave up lots of summer hours to pull together our programs, fund raisers, and activities we will be enjoying throughout the year.

PROGRAM –Herb Lucas - "An Artist's Journey"
Herb will share, with his audience, how he started as an artist, how he arrived at the present in the art field, and where he is going with his painting on the national scene.
A New England native who resides in Bedford, New Hampshire, Herb travels the coastline and the hills and valleys of northern New England that he loves in search of scenery that inspires him to masterfully put oil on canvas. Seacoast nuances, barns in autumn and winter, and relics in fields are among some of Herb’s popular paintings featuring subtle, yet extraordinary, detail.
Herb has generously donated a couple of his mini prints depicting Bedford scenes to be raffled off to benefit the Bedford Women’s Club.

This organization has many needs, but we are focusing on one area for donations. Please note the follow items are now their great needs as they have taken in more women with children:
Adult Snow Shovels
Brooms; Mop Heads (string type)
Dish Towels (they need many!)
Cleaning Supplies: laundry detergent, dish washing liquid (not for ddishwasher), Murphy's Oil Soap, Spic'n Pan, Scrubbing Bubbles, Ammonia, wax floor cleaner, Windex, Bleach, Hand Sanitizer, Oven Cleaner, Disposable Toilet Brushes, and Furniture Polish.
Please Note that the papergoods listed in our year book are no longer a priority.

Meet at the Macy's mailboxes at 11:30 am, leaving promptly or meet at noon at Giorgio's. Last day to sign up is Tuesday, February 2.

Join other bridge players for a fun afternoon of party duplicate; a social version of duplicate bridge that is just for fun!
